How many timed have you heard somebody say: “My kids did so great, I will take them to McDonald’s. They deserve it.”

Food has always been something I would like to talk about. My food journey wasn’t always easy for me. I’ve come a long way from an ultimate foodie to a person that never tried a diet.

Personal journey from cakes in the morning to happiness without it

I was born in Russia. When I was a kid I was never surrounded by people that were dieting or anything like that. Healthy foods were not a part of my parents life. Everything was so greasy and heave it was repulsive. Since 15 years old I started cooking healthier meals, I did not use microwave much, I tried eating salads. Obviously my family was making fun of me and did not support my attempts to create better eating habits.

When I grew up and realized I needed a healthier diet and maybe just a diet in general (I was slightly overweight in my mind). It was heartbreaking to feel how much control food had over me. I used to wake up and have a cake and coffee with sugar in the morning. Until one day it all changed. It was my personal choice and it was one of the best…
